CDFSA is excited to host the 7th National Conference at the UCT School of Dance in  Cape Town from 19 – 22 July 2017.

Conference Theme

The Theme of the Conference is “ From the Inside Out ” as we believe that the heart of the dancer is where it begins. What is in our hearts will show in our dance. We want God to transform us “ From the Inside Out ”    (Romans 12:1 & 2)

Who May Attend?

Anyone who is interested in learning more about Christian Dance in all its forms may attend. Our International Coordinator Saartjie De Wet as well as delegates from Gauteng, Kwa Zulu Natal, the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape will be attending and we are also expecting a CDF Country Leader from Nigeria to join us.

Children may attend the Children’s Conference which will run concurrently with the Adult Conference.


How to Register

We have an online booking system via our Website www.cdfsa.co.za Under the 2017 National Conference you can access the Conference Registration Form. Once you have completed the registration form, you will receive an email confirming your registration. The email will also contain relevant information regarding payment options.

Conference Fee 

  • Adult Conference Fee is R 750.00
  • Children – R 500.00
  • Pensioners – R 500.00

What the conference fee includes

  • Entrance to all workshops
  • Evening sessions

PLUS a few special surprises  –  We love surprises!!

The conference fee does NOT include

  • Travel, accommodation and meals

  • Meals are not included in the Conference fee.
  • Lunch and suppers must be booked at registration and these will be booked with the caterer.
  • Affordable and wholesome meals ( fit for dancers ) between R 50 & R60 will be available on site in the canteen. The menu will be made available once finalised.
  • Please indicate any special dietary requirements in the comments section of the registration form.


All delegates have to make their own accommodation arrangements for the duration of the conference.  We will however post the most affordable accommodation near to the conference site on our website. We will also be requesting our Western Cape dancers to offer accommodation for those delegates attending from out of town.

Workshop Requirements

  • Workshop dress code – comfortable dance gear
  • Flag Workshop – bring your own flag
  • Tambourine – bring your tambourine
  • Banner Workshop – This Workshop teacher will be preparing packs for each delegate for this workshop. The cost will be R 100.00. By the end of the workshop you will have a banner to take home : 1 meter x 1.5 meters. You will also be part of a presentation displaying your banner on Saturday evening.


All delegates wanting to present a dance in the evening sessions (Thursday & Friday), will need to audition on Wednesday from 14:00 – 17:00. All dance items must not be longer than 5 mins. Full costume for the audition is essential.

We encourage everyone to consider the theme of the conference when preparing a dance. If dances are not chosen for the evening events, we will include it in another part of our programme.


All delegates will be required to complete an indemnity form. Please download and sign. This form must be handed in at Registration ( Form will be available soon ).
